The beaches of Sardinia are among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean and regularly ranked among the top 10 in the world. Cliffs with lonely bays, endless dunes, white sandy beaches as fine as powdered sugar and turquoise, clear water - hardly any other island offers such a great variety.

The water temperatures on Sardinia's coast rise in spring from fresh 18 ° C in May to 20-24 ° C in June / July and reach in August a pleasant 25 ° C on average. At the beginning of the late season in September and also in October, the water temperatures are perfect for bathing and do not sink below 23 ° C on average. Only in the period from late autumn to the beginning of spring, the bath temperature of 12-16 ° C.

Below we would like to give our guests a small overview of the surrounding beaches of Golfo Aranci and make your choice a little easier. We are happy to give recommendations to more distant beaches, each of which is unique and in any case worth a little trip.

Cinque Spiagge

Directly in Golfo Aranci you will find a total of 5 beaches or beach sections: Prima, Seconda, Terza, Quarta and Quinta Spiaggia. From the Prima Spiaggia, starting at the Lungo Mare, the other beaches extend to the south and are, depending on the location of your holiday home, either within walking distance or in a few minutes by car. There are numerous parking places close to the beach.

For families the Terza Spiaggia, with its very gently sloping beach and crystal clear waters, is the most suitable. This is also the most visited beach in Golfo Aranci in high season.

Spiaggia Baia Caddinas

Behind the Hotel Baia Caddinas in Golfo Aranci is a small, about 70m long bay, which is surrounded by rocks on both sides. The relatively small beach creates a sense of privacy, although in the high season many guests come to swim and snorkel.

Approach: In the district of Baia Caddinas on Viale Conca Caddinas, about 200m before the hotel to the left, turn left on a branch of the road towards the beach.

Spiaggia Bianca / White Beach

Behind sand dunes and Mediterranean Macchia there is the several hundred meters long beach of powdery white sand that gives the beach its name. The shallow water offers ideal conditions for swimming and is also perfect for families.

The service area offers parasols and sun loungers as well as a boat rental service. In the bar with adjoining restaurant, you can end the evening with a beautiful sunset and enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine.

Shady juniper trees line the Cala Sabina with its fine sand. In some places there are gravel and small rocks, which are surrounded by the azure blue water. The beach is mostly flat sloping and is therefore very suitable for families. There is a service area with bar and restaurant. It is also possible to rent umbrellas and sunbeds.

Cala Sassari at Golfo Aranci is an elongated bay with mostly white sand and only at certain parts of the beach there are a few small stones. The beach has a service area with a bar and restaurant. It is also possible to rent parasols, loungers and pedal boats. Parking spots is easy to find on the spacious car park.

Cala Moresca

Just outside Golfo Aranci, in the direction of Figarolo Island, is the bay of Cala Moresca sheltered by the wind. At the tip of the peninsula of Golfo Aranci, there are numerous small bays and steep cliffs of the Capo Figari Natural Park. A pebble beach and clear, turquoise waters in different shades make the bay one of the most beautiful of Golfo Aranci. Along the rocks of the Capo Figari on the left of the bay, you will also find perfect conditions for snorkeling.

Tip: Follow the small path above the beach behind the wooden gate until the roads splits in two. From here, several hiking trails and mountain bike trails lead through the beautiful landscape of the nature park.

From the top of the Capo Figari at almost 350m altitude which you reach in 1-1 1⁄2 h, you have a fantastic view over the coastline from Golfo Aranci to Porto Cervo, the island of Tavolara and in the distance the La Maddalena Archipelago - on a clear day, you can even see Corsica.

Sos Aranzos

White, fine sand rising from the imposing granite cliffs are features of this beautiful beach near Golfo Aranci. Alternating shallow and deep spots in the sea create a contrasting play of colors from turquoise to deep azure water. A unique panorama overlooking the island of Tavolara and Capo Figari distinguishes Sos Aranzos. The beach has restaurants, bars and a big parking lot.

Pittulongu

Pittulongu has a number of beaches of fine, white sand.Coming from the north, you will first arrive at the Spiaggia Mare Rocce. South-west separated by the Pelican Resort, begins the Spiaggia Pellicano. The light colored seabed and gently sloping water characterize both beaches. Further south, you will find the Spiaggia Lo Squalo, separated by a rocky promontory, La Playa beach. Both beaches are spacious and popular amongst families.

Spiaggia Ira (Porto Rotondo)

The beach of fine, snow-white sand with sea rocks coming out the of sea is the most beautiful of Porto Rotondo. Due to its shallow water, the beach is ideal for families. There are various restaurants and bars, a beach chair and umbrella rental, as well as a boat rental.
